TRAVEL REWARDS, CRUISE PERKS & TRUSTED RESOURCES

 Travel Smarter. Travel Better.

The Concierge is where I keep the travel rewards, cruise perks, credit cards, and planning tools that connect directly to the way we actually travel.

This is not meant to be a random list of links. These are resources tied to the trips we take, including Norwegian Cruise Line sailings, The Haven, Delta flights, Hyatt stays, points, miles, onboard credit, and pre-cruise planning.

Some links on this page may be referral or affiliate links, which means The Voyage Haven may receive support at no additional cost to you. I only include resources that I personally use, have researched, or believe can provide real value for travelers.

How We Use Travel Rewards

We use travel rewards to make premium travel more realistic. That does not always mean traveling for free. More often, it means reducing the cost of flights, improving hotel stays, earning status benefits, getting onboard credit, or making a trip feel easier from start to finish.

For us, the goal is not to collect every credit card or chase every offer. The goal is to use the right tools for the trips we actually want to take. That usually means cruises, pre-cruise hotels, Delta flights, Hyatt stays, better airport experiences, and premium travel that still feels like a good value.

The resources below are the ones that fit that style of travel.

Norwegian Cruise Line Shareholder Onboard Credit

This is one of my favorite cruise travel hacks.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings currently offers shareholder onboard credit for eligible Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises sailings when you own at least 100 shares and meet the program requirements. The amount depends on the length of the cruise, and you usually need to submit proof of ownership before your sailing.

For Norwegian cruises, this can be especially useful because onboard expenses can add up quickly. Drinks, specialty dining, excursions, spa treatments, gift shop purchases, and other onboard charges can all make the final bill higher than expected.

I like this perk because it connects directly to the way we travel. We already enjoy Norwegian Cruise Line and The Haven, so onboard credit is something we can actually use.

Before relying on this benefit, always check Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ current shareholder benefit form and terms. Cruise line policies can change, and eligibility rules matter.

Delta SkyMiles® American Express Card

Delta is a major part of how we plan bigger trips, especially when flying from Nashville to cruise ports, major U.S. cities, or international gateways.

For the right traveler, a Delta SkyMiles American Express card can help with earning miles, improving the airport experience, checking bags, using companion certificates on eligible cards, and getting more value from trips you were already planning to take.

I personally care about Delta because it fits how we travel. We use Delta for many of our bigger trips, and SkyMiles can play a role when planning cruises, positioning flights, Europe trips, and premium cabin travel.

These cards are not the right fit for everyone. They make the most sense if you fly Delta regularly, value Delta benefits, or want to build a larger SkyMiles balance over time.

Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card

Hyatt has become one of the hotel programs I pay close attention to because points, free-night certificates, and elite benefits can still create strong value at the right properties.

For cruise travelers, hotel strategy matters more than people think. A good pre-cruise hotel can make embarkation day much easier, especially if you fly in a day early. We would much rather arrive relaxed than risk starting a cruise stressed from same-day travel.

Who These Resources Are Best For

These resources are best for travelers who want to make premium travel feel more realistic without ignoring value.

They are especially useful if you cruise with Norwegian, are considering The Haven, fly Delta regularly, stay in hotels before or after cruises, care about points and miles, or want to make trips smoother with better planning.

They are probably not the right fit if you are only looking for the cheapest possible trip, do not want to manage credit card benefits, or would not naturally use the travel rewards being offered.
